Lisa was instrumental in preparing me for the Police Academy. She is extremely knowledgeable in the subject matter being a former Drill Instructor herself. Lisa is very passionate about fitness and nutrition and was a true guidepost during my training. Not only did we work on physical training, but she drilled cadence too. I am so thankful to Lisa for her expertise that helped me pass the PTC requirements. You won't be disappointed!

I enrolled in Lisa's self-defense class with my 24 year old daughter. It was time well spent and learning to defend ourselves may one day save our lives. I liked the classes very much because Lisa taught us to be aware of our surroundings, recognize dangerous situations and always project confidence to avoid being an easy target. The skills were presented and practiced with us each week to ensure we could master them before moving on to the next lesson. There is no down side to having the knowledge to protect yourself when faced with danger. I highly recommend Lisa's classes to people of all ages.

I graduated the police academy last year in the best shape of my life. However, the demanding work schedule of a rookie law enforcement officer made it hard to maintain the physical conditioning I worked so hard to achieve. I decided to reach out to my primary PT instructor from the academy to get me back in shape.

Lisa was quick to point out my weak points and devised workouts to strengthen them. Our workouts are simple, but challenging. Most importantly they are effective and fun.

Werner is also a great trainer. He knows how to motivate an individual to perform at their best.

I was searching for an exercise program that worked for my lifestyle. I run a business, have a wife and 2 young boys and run a large scouting program at my church. Time is in short supply. I've always kept myself in decent shape, but it has been hit and miss for the last bunch of years. A good friend, same age as me, in as great shape as anyone I know that has broken a half century, suffered a heart attack recently. If HE could have a heart attack........

I went and had a comprehensive physical. Then I made up my mind that I would do whatever I could to not die before I wanted to.....

I wanted a program that focused on cardio and core strength. I had an hour each morning, 3 days/week to work out. I looked at cross fit, P90x and a couple other, similar programs. At 50, I also wanted to progress with my fitness and not incur injuries. All the programs I was looking at seemed to be full speed ahead from the get go, with little to no effective coaching. I needed a coach. I decided I needed a personal trainer and soon found myself in a discussion with Werner Rodas.

Werner invited me to his new studio in Middlesex for a 1 on 1 training session. Again, I keep myself in decent shape. I had been trail running regularly for a few months prior to my trial session with Werner. At the end of one hour, I was not sure if I would puke or pass out. I felt as useful and functional as a jellyfish on the beach...

More impressive than how gassed I was in an hour, was how attentive Werner was to my form as I worked through all the new movements. He would constantly ask if anything hurt. As the weeks progressed, my fitness level increased faster than I have EVER experienced with any other program! I dropped 10 lbs. in 2 weeks, my clothes fit better, my energy level is through the roof, I sleep better.....AND...I have not been in the slight bit injured! To the contrary, nagging, chronic shoulder and lower back pain are GONE!

Every day is a surprise. No 2 workouts have been the same. New movements are always introduced. The goal of this fitness program is functional fitness. The toned stomach, arms and legs are just a side benefit.

Werner, Lisa and EPOC Fitness have developed a life changing fitness program that I am SO happy to be a part of.

What can I say but WOW! Every time I walk through the door at EPOC Fitness I am excited about what is in store for me and every time I walk out I am amazed at what I accomplished. I was never a very confident or self-assured person. Self-esteem was a foreign concept to me. Then I found Lisa and Werner and from the first moment I met them they planted that seed in my mind that I could do anything, all I had to do was challenge myself. Each time I finish a work out I can feel those negative voices in my head getting quieter and quieter. Each time I leave I feel stronger both physically and mentally. I saw a friend the other day that I hadn’t seen in a long time and he looked at me and said, "You’re different". When I asked him what he meant, he said you’re walking taller, you’re confident, you have "attitude". It was the most wonderful thing that anyone has ever said to me. I can feel myself changing every day. I found out that it's not always about being able to do something, it's about not being afraid to try. And if you aren’t afraid to try AMAZING things will happen!! Thank you Lisa and Werner for helping me to find me what I’ve searched for all my life, self-respect.
